Liya Kebede- Model, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Wife, Mother. She is truly phenomenal! Her career started when she was discovered by Tom Ford. Modeling opened up doors into other ventures like acting- one of the several roles she played was Miriam in the film The Good Shepard, becoming a Goodwill Ambassador, and Entrepreneurship. Liya has used her spotlight to shine on her home country of Ethiopia. She has pioneered a clothing line known as Lemlem (http://www.lemlem.com). Liya started the line with the desire to preserve the craft of traditional Ethiopian weaving. Liya has functioned in the capacity of Goodwill Ambassador for Maternal Children and Newborn health. She went on to found the Liya Kebede Foundation where she continues her focuses on the issue of birthing mortality and child bearing complication in Ethiopia and around the world. Kebede is the first woman of colour to represent the Estee Lauder Brand. Liya Kebede is a Wonder woman!
